Ep 102. 6 steps to elevate your brand in 2024

As we start to wind down for 2023, it’s time to reflect on the year that has been and what lies ahead. I know it’s been a weird year for a lot of brands. We have seen businesses closing their doors. Perhaps even ones we thought were doing so well. And this is disconcerting in itself. But that doesn’t mean it has to happen to YOU..

Perhaps you made plans or dreamt up big lofty goals at the beginning of the year, but then well… life happened. Or really, 2023 happened. And I feel like we’ve been saying that about every year since 2020. It just keeps getting weirder and weirder. Or should we say, curiouser and curiouser?

But what this highlights to me (and not just from a marketing perspective), is that more than ever before, you can’t simply follow someone else’s formulas, strategies or tactics and expect success to flow into your business. You have to pave your own way.

I believe that we will get through this economic speed bump, which has undoubtedly impacted the small business community in general. But the only way through is to stay true to your vision; your mission and your brand. Keep your “why” closer than ever before.

Never stop investing in your brand, because above all else, at the end of the day, even if your sales aren’t quite what you had hoped for, if your brand is strong, you will make it out the other side! Stronger.
